Todos sabemos que 2020 fue un año atípico en muchos sentidos, por supuesto el área del entretenimiento no estuvo exenta de esto pero de una u otra manera las producciones han seguido adelante, algunas con un ritmo semi lento y otras con la promesa de volver; ahora tenemos la llegada de las series nominadas a los Critics Choice Awards.
Netflix lidera las nominaciones para la entrega de este 2021 con un total de 26, incluyendo seis nominaciones para Ozark y The Crown. Algunas otras series que compiten en múltiples categorías son Better Call Saul, Schitt’s Creek, The Flight Attendant y The Queen’s Gambit.
Las series nominadas por mejor Serie de Drama incluyen a Better Call Saul, The Crown, The Good Fight, Lovecraft Country, Ozark, Perry Mason, This is Us y sorpresivamente en esta categoría se encuentra The Mandalorian.

Entre las nominaciones en las categorías más destacadas tenemos en Mejor Actor y Actriz en una serie de drama a Jason Bateman y Laura Linney por Ozark, Josh O’Connor y Olivia Colman por The Crown, Jonathan Majors y Jurnee Smollett por Lovecraft Country y Bob Odenkirk por Better Call Saul.
En la categoría de Mejor Actriz en una serie limitada o película hecha para televisión encontramos a Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit) compitiendo contra Cate Blanchett (Mrs. America), Michaela Coel (I May Destroy You), Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People), Shira Haas (Unorthodox) y Tessa Thompson (Sylvie’s Love).
En la misma categoría pero en cuanto a los varones tenemos a John Boyega por Small Axe, HUgh Grant por The Undoing, Paul Mescal por Normal People, Chris Rock por Fargo, Mark Ruffalo por I Know This Much is True y Morgan Spector por The Plot Against America.
El próximo 7 de febrero se revelará la lista de los nominados en las categorías referentes a películas, el evento de los Critics Choice Awards se llevará a cabo el día domingo 7 de Marzo de 2021 y será conducido por el actor y cantante Taye Diggs, será la tercera vez consecutiva que lo haga.
